The Facial Hair Course
Learn how to knot, style and apply facial hair pieces
Where make-up & hair careers begin.
The Delamar Academy Facial Hair Course is as practical as it is satisfying. Learn how to create facial hair pieces by knotting though lace.
Learn it all.
Facial hair pieces are a really important part of film and TV character design.
On this course, students learn how to blend coloured hair, knot each hair through a piece of lace before styling and applying to the face.
Students often find this process very satisfying and methodical. Graduates who show great dexterity and attention to detail, make brilliant “knotters” - which is a highly employable skill, since it is so niche.
Understanding facial hair, it’s texture, behaviour and tonal palette - is key to the creation of a believable character.
