Contemporary Hair Course

An intensive 5 days learning structured styles with texture, pieces and volume

Where make-up & hair careers begin.

The Delamar Academy Contemporary Hair course elevates students’ skills - making them highly employable for red carpet, entertainment and fashion work. Learn the most contemporary styles.

Learn it all.

This course is hugely popular with the students, for its camera-worthy styles including braiding, extensions, padding, hair accessories and the most fabulously structured up-dos. In one week you learn all about red carpet, TV and music artist hair - essential for people who wish to work in entertainment. Confidence with bridal hair and up-dos in general is a huge take-away from this course.

The skills we teach on this course build on basic hairdressing skills, so we ask that prospective students take the Delamar Hair and Period Wigs courses or an equivalent before applying. You can be self-taught but must show a portfolio of work, strong enough to start on this course.

Our tutors are some of the best in the entertainment industry, working with musicians, on Strictly Come Dancing and on the red carpet. From the images below you will see the technical detail and creative looks achieved by students on this course
