The Delamar Academy Beginner Hair course is an essential foundation of strong hair skills. Ideal for students who have not trained in hair and would like to learn some key styling techniques.
Learn it all.
Absolutely essential learning for students with little to no hair experience. On this course you will learn the foundations of great hair styling from classic techniques such a tonging, wanding, up-dos and the importance of tidy sectioning.

The building blocks of industry employment
The Beginner Hair
No previous experience of hair is necessary to enrol on this course.
The course provides an intensive training in hair techniques and styles - necessary for working in the media industry and progressing onto wig work and more technical styling courses. On this course you will learn:
Sectioning
Up-dos
Soft waves and beachy textures
Padding
Blow drying
A full-time course for a fulfilling career
Classes run from 10:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, in the Academy
All equipment, materials and tools are included in the course fee. Students do not need to bring anything other than a notepad and pen.
Classes sizes are intimate - no more than 14 students per class to create a strong tutor to student ratio
Termly tutorials with a tutor and Academy Principal are held with each student to provide support, advice and learn about each individual student’s goals
We a hold guest masterclasses and industry talks throughout the year featuring top industry experts and artists. You can read all about these here

Tuition is practical and hands-on, with a tutor demo in the morning, followed by practical sessions for the rest of the day, in which students learn how to handle specialist equipment, tools and materials
