Barbering course covers all the basic principles and techniques of barbering.
Our hair cutting module has been revised and developed so it will now consist of 1 week of barbering with scissors over comb and clipper techniques, sectioning, soldiers cuts, fading and more. Students will start learning on head blocks before moving onto real models.
What you will learn
This course covers sectioning, scissor over comb techniques, clippering, blowdrying, cross checking, texturizing, blending, fashion blowdrying and styling. Men’s barbering and clipper cuts, beard trimming and much more. Ask any top make-up artist working in the industry today, these skills are invaluable for any make-up artist pursuing a career in TV and film. We have updated the course to include some military and period styles, essential for many make-up artists working in film.
Please note that the course fee includes use of the scissors, gown, and comb included in our complete kit.
Where you will learn it
The light and airy classrooms of Delamar Academy are located within the world-famous Ealing Studios in West London. (You can learn more about Ealing Studios itself on our Get in touch page or on the Ealing Studios site itself.)
In our spacious classrooms, you will have your own personal workstation – including professional lighting and equipment. Ealing Studios is home to a number of other companies that form a real media community, with visual effects, production, editing, outside broadcast, and record companies all represented. There is also the Met Film School, which offers a first step in studio work experience for our own students when they work on graduate films.
Your next steps
You’ll be pleased to learn that there are only really two requirements for entry to this course:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- If English is not your first language, you must have a good standard of spoken English (equivalent to IELTS 6).
