The most exciting reason why the January course is so special, is the magical time of year our students finish – in June 2020.
Summer is the busiest time in the industry, with films, TV, fashion, theatre and the commercial world kicking off in spectacular style. We have had so many success stories from students who start in January and graduate into an industry of big opportunities.
Just in the past year alone, our January students who graduated this summer have had some incredible opportunities. Rosalyn Fochs was taken on as trainee to our tutor and BAFTA winning designer, Catherine Scoble. Her TV filming job lasted several months where she had the most hands-on work for an upcoming drama series about a true crime. Other graduates have been working with the National Youth Opera, short films and music videos. Amy Williams has been working with Delamar Tutor, Deb Taylor on The Fast and The Furious. Other recent success stories include Grace Hatcher who started in January 2017 and is now working regularly with CLM artists – CLM is a top agency representing Andrew Gallimore and Delamar Graduate Jo Frost, plus many other top fashion make-up artists. Aimee Joyce is another graduate, who finished in June, then went onto a BBC job for two months continuously, working alongside some make-up artist legends. Arina Laura, another 2018 graduate who started in January has been on Star Wars and now has a permanent position on the West End Musical, School of Rock. This is a small selection of recent graduates from January courses over the past 2 years. This is usually a smaller intake with great results both on the course and in the industry.
We have an exciting intake for 2020, but look forward to taking enrolments from any new students. It is one of the best times to start in the industry! To look at the courses click here.
Courses where we have spaces are: the Advanced Complete Make-up Artist Course lasting 22 weeks, full time and covering all subjects from beauty to prosthetics, wigs and casualty. This course is best suited to students who have an interest in the scope of work covered in the 1 Year course, but do not have the time, money or visa requirements to train here for a year. We then have the Complete Make-up Artist which is 16 weeks in length, full time and unlike the 22 week course, it does not include Advanced Fashion, a photoshoot or Advanced TV and Film with the lighting day. This course suits anyone with less time who still wants to learn all the skills to enter the industry. International students can enroll on both these courses. Finally, we have the 12 week Beauty and Fashion course, designed for the purists who only want to work in the fashion or commercial side of the industry. This course will be perfect for those with their heart set on bridal, fashion, music videos, advertising, private clients
