Academic Administrator

We are looking for a well-rounded Administrator who has experience of working in an office environment as part of a team. You will need to be a positive person who is happy to get on with their work without any expectation of micro management.  Delamar has a strong reputation in the industry, therefore we have high standards and strive for excellence in all areas of our business. Delamar Academy has been established for 30 years as the most highly regarded school in the UK for make-up and hair courses. We provide a setting unlike any other you will have worked in. Our  courses range from 1 week to 1 year. Full information about Delamar is available throughout our website. The University of West London validates our 1-year programme.


The role:


  • To be the main point of contact between the Academy and the University of West London
  • Work closely with the Enrolment Manager, to complete all enrolment paper work and ensure each student’s records are compliant
  • Ensuring all students’ assessments, progress and feedback are documented accordingly with the University and Academy guidelines
  • Typing of reports and calculation of assessment marks
  • Communicating course content, timetables and updates with the students
  • Keeping a record of all students’ absences and lateness, and raising any areas of concern with senior management
  • Minute of all meetings within the Academy or at the University
  • Attend regular board meetings at the University and action any requirements needed
  • Help develop courses in line with best practices and progression
  • Organize and schedule one to one appointments for the students with tutors and/or the course leader
  • Co-ordinate course committee meetings between the students, link tutor and academy
  • Diary management
  • Commit to the development of students’ personal and academic progression
  • Help with pastoral care and refer students needing welfare support to the appropriate resources 


Experience and qualities required:


  • High level of speed and accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to set and work to deadlines
  • Good computer skills and competent with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well organised and good at multitasking
  • Self- motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
  • An interest in make-up, TV, film and media

  • An immediate start is available
  • Working hours will be 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Salary is competitive with 20 days holiday + public holidays per annum
